Lexihex is a word puzzle game by Pale Omen Games ("we"). This page explains what the game stores, why, and what you can do about it. The short version: no ads, no ad tracking, no selling of data. We keep only what the game needs to work.
What we store
- A random account. The first time you play, the game makes a random ID for your device and signs you in as a guest. It isn't linked to your name, phone number or contacts.
- Your progress. Levels, scores, achievements, quests, your Codex of words, the look you've chosen and the Shop packs you own are saved to our server so they're not lost and can follow you between devices.
- Your player name and pal. The name you pick (or the random one we give you), your pal, your level and whether you're a supporter are shown to other players on the leaderboards and in live Duels.
- Leaderboard scores for Blitz, Daily Blitz, Word Search and Duel wins.
- If you choose "Save progress with Google": Google tells us an ID for your Google account so your progress can be found again on another device. We don't post anything to your Google account. The game may show your Google name or email on your device so you can see which account you used.
- General play statistics: how many games are played in each game style and difficulty, how long they last, and which Shop packs are bought or claimed. Players are counted under a scrambled one-way code, not your name or ID, so we can see things like "how many people played today" without knowing who.
- Launch emails. If you leave your email on lexihex.com to hear when the game launches, we keep it only to send that announcement, then delete the list. Ask us any time to remove it sooner.
- Messages you send us with Contact us, with your player ID, player name, and an email address only if you give one for a reply.
- Purchases. When paid packs are available, payment is handled by Google Play (or another store) under their privacy policy. We receive confirmation of what you bought, not your card details.
What we don't do
- No advertising, no advertising IDs and no third-party analytics or trackers in the game.
- We don't sell or rent your information, and we don't share it except with the services below that run the game.
- We don't ask for your location, contacts, camera or microphone.
Where it's kept
The game server runs on Hetzner in Finland (EU). Nightly backups are kept for up to 30 days, on the server and with Cloudflare R2. The website is hosted by DreamHost. These providers store data for us and may keep standard server logs (such as IP addresses) for security for a short time.
Deleting your data
In the game: Settings → Cloud save → Delete account removes your account, progress, scores and purchases from our server straight away. You can also ask us with Contact us (choose "Delete my account"), and we'll do it for you. Copies in backups are removed as the backups expire (within 30 days).
Deleting the app or clearing your browser data removes what's on that device, but your cloud save stays until you delete your account.
Children
Lexihex is suitable for all ages. It has no chat, and player names are checked against a list of rude words. We don't ask for real names, emails or birthdays. If you're a parent and want your child's account deleted, use Contact us or the Delete account button.
Your rights
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it (support@lexihex.com), and we'll respond within 30 days. If you're unhappy with how we handle your information you can also contact your local privacy regulator (in Australia, the OAIC).
Changes
If this policy changes we'll update this page and the date at the top, and mention bigger changes in the game's What's new page.
