Terms of use

These terms apply when you play Lexihex, on the web or in the app. By playing you agree to them. They're written to be readable; if anything here conflicts with your rights under consumer law, your rights win.

Playing

• Lexihex is free to play. You can play as a guest or save your progress with Google.
• Please keep your player name friendly. We may change names that are rude, hateful or pretend to be someone else.
• Play fair in live Duels and on the leaderboards. Don't cheat, use bots, or exploit bugs. We may remove scores or accounts that do.
• Don't try to break, overload or get unauthorised access to the game or its server.

Shop items

• Everything in the Shop is cosmetic: pals, scenes, tile styles and effects. Nothing you buy helps you win.
• Buying a pack gives you a licence to use its items in Lexihex. They have no cash value and can't be traded or sold.
• Free packs (like the pack of the month) are yours to keep once claimed.
• Payments and refunds go through the store you bought from (such as Google Play) and their refund policy. If something you bought doesn't work, contact us and we'll fix it or make it right.
• Downloaded wallpapers are for your own personal use on your devices.

Your account

• Your progress is linked to your account. If you play as a guest and lose your device or clear its data, we may not be able to recover your progress, so we recommend saving with Google.
• You can delete your account at any time in Settings. We may suspend or remove accounts that break these terms.

The game itself

• We work hard to keep Lexihex running well, but it's provided "as is" and may sometimes be unavailable, change, or have bugs. We may add, change or remove features and content.
• The game, its art, characters and code belong to Pale Omen Games. The word list comes from the public-domain ENABLE list, with meanings from WordNet (Princeton University).

Liability

Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law or other laws that can't be excluded. Otherwise, to the extent the law allows, we're not liable for indirect losses, and our total liability is limited to the amount you've paid us in the last 12 months.

Changes and law

We may update these terms. If we make important changes we'll say so in the game. These terms are governed by the laws of Australia.
